The Odyssey

Galloway, N.J. 鈥 After a long hiatus, the famous Dinner & Show Series at 麻豆视频鈥檚 is back with a modern and feminist retelling of a classic story 鈥 Lisa Peterson鈥檚 adaption of 鈥淭he Odyssey鈥 by the Acting Company is set to be on the mainstage at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10.

Following a buffet-style meal in the 麻豆视频 Art Gallery, patrons will watch four young women trapped in the limbo of a refugee camp retell Odysseus鈥 adventures as they struggle with their own search for a home.

Lisa Peterson鈥檚 adaptation of The Odyssey brings new life to this ancient epic.

The production is based on a 2017 translation by University of Pennsylvania professor Emily Wilson, who became the first woman to publish a translation of Homer鈥檚 most famous work into English.

Ticket Information 

Tickets are $40 for the general public; $38 for senior citizens; $35 for 麻豆视频 University alumni; $30 for 麻豆视频 staff and faculty; $18 for children (12 and under); and $10 for 麻豆视频 students. Special pricing for groups of 10 or more people is also available.
