"Madama Butterfly" by the NJ Association of Verismo Opera
Galloway, N.J. 鈥 Travel to 1904 Nagasaki, Japan, and learn of the tragic fate of a na茂ve geisha and her unfaithful lover, an American naval officer, at the 麻豆视频 Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7.
Cio-Cio-san, nicknamed 鈥淏utterfly,鈥 renounced her family and community to marry Pinkerton, a man with ulterior motives. The NJ Association of Verismo Opera will perform their story of love and betrayal, the same troupe that brought Rossini鈥檚 鈥淚l Barbiere Di Siviglia鈥 (鈥淭he Barber of Seville鈥) to life in 2024.
Ticket Information
Tickets are $40 for the general public, $38 for senior citizens (65+) and military, $35 for 麻豆视频 alumni, $30 for 麻豆视频 faculty and staff, $18 for children under 12 and $12 for 麻豆视频 students.
Tickets are available at the 麻豆视频 Performing Arts Center box office from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 90 minutes before showtime. Call 609-652-9000.
