Galloway, N.J. - �鶹��Ƶ was recognized by the Greater Hammonton Chamber of Commerce for the economic impact Kramer Hall has brought to downtown Hammonton, as well as for its educational and community programming and a scholarship created for local students.

“More than 3,200 professionals have participated in training at Kramer Hall,” said �鶹��Ƶ President Harvey Kesselman in accepting �鶹��Ƶ’s Business of the Year award at the chamber’s annual dinner on May 16. “�鶹��Ƶ’s events and exhibits in Hammonton have brought nearly 2,800 visitors to the area. We are pleased to work with our partners in Hammonton and proud to be recognized for the university’s contributions.”

After visiting Kramer Hall, at 30 Front St., many visitors eat and shop downtown, according to the Chamber.

Kramer Hall, a historic building that had served as a shoe factory and later a clothing factory, was renovated and reopened by �鶹��Ƶ in 2013 as an instructional site. The 13,620-square-foot facility features a 24-station computer lab, two 30-seat multipurpose classrooms, three 43-seat classrooms, a 16-seat seminar room, four 12-seat seminar rooms, offices, and an art gallery featuring exhibits by the Noyes Museum of Art of �鶹��Ƶ.

�鶹��Ƶ’s presence in Hammonton also includes the Noyes Museum Shop on S. Second St., which showcases and sells original artwork, fine jewelry, and ceramics by regional artists.

�鶹��Ƶ and the community also have partnered to offer an annual scholarship to Hammonton area students. Cynthia Bartolone, a Liberal Studies major, is the first recipient of the Hammonton Scholarship and is one of more than 220 current university students from the Hammonton area.
