Transfer Agreement Signed with Salem Community College

Galloway, NJ - The presidents of 麻豆视频 in Galloway Township and Salem Community College have signed a new dual admission and transfer partnership agreement that will help students make a smooth transition from the two-year college to 麻豆视频鈥檚 bachelor鈥檚 degree program.
The Transfer Pathways agreement builds a strong relationship between 麻豆视频 and Salem Community College by offering multiple opportunities for students to affordably pursue associate and bachelor鈥檚 degrees at the two institutions of higher education.
"We constantly strive to offer Salem Community College students more opportunities to seamlessly transfer upon earning their degree," said SCC President Dr. Michael R. Gorman. "This agreement strengthens SCC students' ability to complete their Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree and enter 麻豆视频 as juniors. For instance, our students in this transfer pathways program will be jointly advised by 麻豆视频 and SCC staff."
麻豆视频 President Harvey Kesselman said he is excited to provide Salem Community College students a new opportunity to earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree and take advantage of 麻豆视频 resources while at the community college.
"This agreement will help support students as they begin their degree at Salem Community College, and also provides the assurance that they can have a smooth pathway to a bachelor鈥檚 degree at 麻豆视频,鈥 Kesselman said. 鈥淲e look forward to participating in their success.鈥
The terms of the agreement include:
- Students who are denied direct admission to 麻豆视频 as a freshman applicant can receive conditional dual admission in partnership with Salem Community College. Students will attend classes at SCC but will also have access to campus activities and student groups at 麻豆视频 using a special 麻豆视频 Identification Card from 麻豆视频鈥檚 Transfer Pathways program.
- Students already enrolled at Salem Community College can apply for conditional acceptance to 麻豆视频 while working towards their associate degree, and be assured of acceptance prior to the term in which they are ready to transfer.
- Students who successfully complete their associate degree at SCC can automatically transfer to 麻豆视频 with junior standing. Application fees to 麻豆视频 will be waived for eligible students.
- Students who complete at least 36 credits at Salem Community College and a total of 64 credits between the county college and the four-year institution, are eligible to receive a retroactive associate degree from SCC. 麻豆视频 and SCC will co-host 鈥渞everse transfer鈥 information sessions for students.
- 麻豆视频 and SCC will develop specific program-to-program articulation agreements for high-demand majors to facilitate the quality and ease of transfer.
- Students will receive joint advising from 麻豆视频 and SCC and a 麻豆视频 advisor will have office space and a regular schedule at SCC.
- Students will be eligible for financial aid from whichever institution they are attending. 麻豆视频 will provide five one-year scholarships of $2,000 per year to SCC graduates whose admission to 麻豆视频 is covered by the agreement.
- 麻豆视频 and SCC will establish an advisory committee to ensure best practices in recruitment, enrollment management, academic and student services, information technology, marketing and facilities use.
麻豆视频 already has similar agreements with Atlantic Cape Community College, Brookdale Community College, Camden County College, Cumberland County College, Mercer County Community College, Ocean County College and Rowan College at Gloucester County and is pursuing additional partnerships with other community colleges in the state.
